Dixie's oil painting, San Miguel Mountain, is featured in a new book, Land of Sunlight -- Contemporary Paintings of San Diego County. The book is both a geographic tour of the county's landscapes and a guide to contemporary representational painting in the region. More than 100 fine artists contributed paintings to the book, demonstrating a wide range of artistic styles and techniques. LAND OF SUNLIGHT was published in August 2007, and should be available in stores county-wide during the second half of the year.

Dixie is the Artist in Residence at Summers Past Farms in Flinn Springs, California, and is a member of the East County Art Association.
